Federal Disclosure Requirements
Federal law requires political campaigns to collect and report the name, mailing address, occupation, and employer of each individual whose contributions aggregate in excess of $200 in an election cycle. This information is reported to and publicly available through the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
When you contribute via ActBlue, you will be asked to provide your full name, address, occupation, and employer. This data is required by federal law and will be reported to the FEC as part of our campaign finance filings.
Contribution Limits
- Maximum contribution: $3,500 per election ($7,000 per election cycle: $3,500 primary + $3,500 general)
- Contributions from corporations, labor unions, foreign nationals, and federal government contractors are prohibited by federal law
- Contributions must be made from the donor's own funds and may not be reimbursed by any other person or entity
Tax Information
Contributions to Arias for Congress are not tax deductible as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.
